Onitsuka Tiger
Onitsuka Co.Ltd was launched in 1949 by Japanese entrepreneur Kihachiro Onitsuka and were the first Japanese company to produce their own range of basketball shoes. In 1958, the company acquired the Tiger brand, birthing the Onitsuka Tiger. Characterised by their supportive side-stripes, their footwear will forever be associated with Bruce Lee, who donned the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s in the 1978 ‘Game Of Death’ film. In more recent times Uma Thurman's vengeful character boasted a pair of yellow and black Tai Chi’s throughout all Kill Bill movies.
