adidas Originals Trimm Trab

Although many of you will know the adidas Trimm Trab as the poster-boy foot-piece of the football terrace scene throughout the ‘80s, its origins actually lie way back in 1975. In the mid- ‘70s, the German nation was swept by a government-led sports and fitness campaign dubbed ‘Trimm Dich, durch sport’, translating to ‘Get fit, do sports’. adidas was quick to support the movement and launched the ‘Trimm Trab’ athleisure shoe – a multi-purpose model built for a whole range of sporting activities. The model quickly found its way onto the shores of the city in the ’80s when it was discovered by scores of football fans while travelling across Europe to follow their team. Still omnipresent on the terraces today, the Trimm Trab is undoubtedly one of adidas' most iconic silhouettes.
