New Balance’s in-house footwear designer Yue Wu is to thank for coming up with ‘Protection Pack’ design, which came from his observation of how New Balance shoes hold their original form despite years of wear and tear. Whilst ‘Protection Pack’ silhouette’s layers look roughly cut, every line is in fact considered with suede layering through the uppers.
