Another archival classic from the 3-Stripes, the Campus was originally released in early 1970’s as the ‘Tournament’. As a basketball model, its leather uppers and sticky rubber outsole provided support and traction for on-court performance. While it never saw the same on-court success as the Pro Model and Superstar, the silhouette instead found its home within the burgeoning Hip-Hop scene of the 80s. Beastie Boys Ad-Rock and Mike D would appear in promo shoots flaunting the style, even after it briefly discontinued production in 1987.
